BVC Logistics Launches Vision 2022 To Become IPO Ready in 30 Months

The country’s largest secure logistics player, BVC Logistics unveiled its ‘Vision 2022’ that seeks to “make shipping the competitive advantage of 30,000 businesses by March 2022” on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.

“Today, logistics is a cost centre for every business and BVC aims to transform this and make shipping a competitive advantage where simply by using BVC to ship, businesses can make their customers experience a beautiful buying experience,” the company said in a press statement issued on Friday.

To achieve this, BVC has set for itself aggressive service targets like achieving delivery within 24 hours anywhere in India and deepening the use of technology. The company is also expanding its geographical coverage from 10,000 pin codes to over 20,000 pin codes, acquiring hundreds of bullet-proof vehicles and recruiting over 1,000 staff for different locations in the coming 30 months.

“We’re delighted to launch our new vision to make shipping the competitive advantage of businesses. BVC was the first organised logistics player in India in 1960 and the 500 per cent growth registered in the past five years proves the deepening relationship between BVC and every industry participant. We’re excited about this phase of growth,” the release quoted Chairman, Uday Chinai as saying.

Over the years, BVC has grown exponentially, expanding its offices, team, solutions and customers, working with over 16,000 businesses in the diamond and jewellery mine to market value chain consisting of miners, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and e-tailers. The company has secure logistics coverage in over 130 countries. Its fully insured exhibition solution for private and public exhibitions is among its principle USPs.

The company is now looking beyond logistics to become a partner for jewellers to increase sales and reduce indirect costs. Through deeper collaboration with ecosystem partners like banks and packaging manufacturers, it aims to create a holistic solution for all diamond and jewellery merchant needs. As a market leader, BVC’s vision is now to deepen relationships and bring logistics solutions that exist in developed nations to India.

The Vision 2022 was launched during BVC Millionight, an annual internal event attended by over 500 BVC team members from across India.
